Job Description
Our Client:
Our client is an MNC that develops and manufactures engineering plastics for industrial markets.
The Responsibilities:
* Responsible for optimum condition and performance of plant equipment
* Responsible for general preventive maintenance and ad-hoc maintenance activities for plant equipment
* Maintain and repair production line and plant equipment, ensuring efficiency and reduced machine downtime
* Work very closely with Production Operations to perform repair/maintenance works at its optimal levels
* Provide effective and timely engineering solutions for plant/equipment troubleshooting, as well as perform root-cause analysis on failures
* Ascertain that all maintenance information ( e.g. fault reports ) is accurate, promptly updated and maintained
* Lead a team of Maintenance Technicians in the day to day operations.
* Oversees repair and maintenance works
* Plan and schedule maintenance activities that enhances usage of all resources; Facilitate safe, smooth, timely and effective execution
* Source and procure technical parts requirements, manage critical spare parts inventory and general spare parts (local and overseas )
* Any other duties as assigned by superiors; e.g. improvement projects
The Requirements:
* Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering field with 3 - 5 years' relevant experience as a maintenance engineer in a manufacturing environment
* Hands-on experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plant machines and equipment
* Sound technical knowledge of electrical/electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC systems
* Good experience in troubleshooting of Inverter/Converter, AC/DC motors, knowledge of electrical circuitry and control will be an advantage
* Able to be hands-on, with electrical/electronic works as well as some mechanical works
* Experienced and can foresee imminent failures within the plant, and proactively resolve these issues
* This position requires the candidate to be flexible in working hours (e.g. work out of office hours, weekend or public holiday when required)
* Demonstrates good analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as good leadership qualities
