Job Description
Our Client and the Role:
We are representing a growing data centre operator to look for an experienced data centre facilities engineer. This role will report to the Facilities Manager and will be responsible in management of cluster site.
The Responsibilities:
* Objective leadership for a team of DC Operations technicians and engineers to ensure maximum uptime of mission-critical infrastructure
* Management of projects pertaining to improvements of DC facilities such as chillers and power systems
* Oversight of the connection of power supply and chillers to clients' servers and data halls
* Immediate resolution of tenant's request and Infrastructure maintenance
* Periodic site inspection
* Roll out of predictive and preventive maintenance program and repairs on control systems
* Planning of SOWs for routine control systems projects
* Perform periodic checklist of site logs and data gathering for permits, such as MOPs and scripts
* Completing basic work requests and circuit installations
* Management of appointed vendor according to the SLAs
* Management of CAPEX and OPEX budget
* Providing input to any internal audit process
The Requirements:
* Graduate with a recognized Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Facilities Management or equivalent
* Possess a minimum 4 years of relevant experience in data centre operations
* Strong analytical and communication skills
* Strong technical knowledge of critical infrastructure tools such as UPS, generators, BMS (Building Management System), chillers and FSM (Fire Safety Management) is highly desirable
* Proven track record in taking on leadership role or managing a team's KPI
* Able to commit to shift based role of 12hrs ( night or day shift)
